Spirit of Resistance Remains Alive: Lebanese Scholar

IQNA – The Palestinian nation has not raised the flag of defeat despite the Zionist regime’s atrocities, the head of the Association of the Muslim Scholars in Lebanon said, stressing that he spirit of resistance remains alive.

Sheikh Ghazi Hunaina made the remarks in an address to an international webinar on “Globalization of Resistance; Achievement of Martyr Soleimani’s School”.

He said although the Zionist regime has launched a campaign of death and destruction and killed over 20,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, in the Gaza Strip, Palestinians have remained steadfast as the spirit of resistance is alive in them.

Referring to the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation launched by the Hamas resistance movement against Israel and the conflicts in Syria, southern Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq, he said that in their struggle against the Zionist regime, the Palestinian people and other regional nations get inspiration from the martyrs of resistance, including General Qassem Soleimani, Sheikh Ahmed Yasin, Fathi Shaqaqi, Abbas al-Mousawi, and Imad Mughniyeh.

He highlighted the role of General Soleimani in strengthening the resistance front in its confrontation with the Israeli regime.

Sheikh Hunaina described General Soleimani as the martyr of Al-Quds and the path of al-Quds.

He also said that forcing the United States out of the region and a return of peace, security and stability to the region, which was the motto of General Soleimani will be materialized with the grace of God.

The Lebanese cleric also prayed for enhanced unity in the Muslim world and the victory of resistance.

The webinar on “Globalization of Resistance; Achievement of Martyr Soleimani’s School” was held by the International Quran News Agency (IQNA) on Monday.

“Role of Martyr Soleimani in reviving the resistance front and turning it into a regional and global power,” and “effects of General Soleimani and Soleimani School on creating a change in current world order and transition to new world order” were the two main themes of the online seminar.

It was also addressed by Abu Wassam Mahfouz Munawwar, another senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, Sheikh Qazi Yusuf Hunaina, head of Lebanon’s Association of Muslim Scholars, and Muhnad Najm Abd al-Aqabi, director of the public relations office of Iraq’s Hashd al-Shaabi, among others.

General Soleimani, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Gurads Corps Quds Force, and al-Muhandis, the deputy head of Iraq’s PMU, along with a number of their companions, were assassinated in a US drone attack on Baghdad International Airport in January 3, 2020.
